Operating instruction

Overview

Jig dressing is a gravity separation. Process characteristics are: the selected mineral falls onto the screen panel of jig room to form a layer of material. To fill in the water through the sieve and make the beds loose and then the water level lower down (or stop rising). In this process, different density particles transfer, the heavy minerals enter into the lower layer, light minerals come into the upper level, after discharge to get concentrate and tailings.

Sawtooth wave jig is a new type energy saving high efficient gravity separation equipment. The improvement is below: move in sawtooth waveform, the water rising fast but lowering down slow, the bed layer is whole up and falls slowly, the effective loose time is long, this whole process can greatly increase the capacity of screen surface units, and save the adding water quantity. The sawtooth wave jig recovery rates can improve Sn: 3.01%, WO3:5.5%, Pb: 1.63%, Zn: 2.04%, the water consumption lowers down 30-75%.

2. Applied range

Sawtooth wave jig can handle various particle sizes raw materials except some fineness ore. Simple operation, large capacity, and can get some final products in single separation. It is widely used in the production process. For metal ore, is a better equipment to deal with coarse, medium and fine grain of iron ore and manganese, also used in separation tin, tungsten etc; The jig separation also has extensive use in gold, tantalum, niobium titanium, chromium etc raw ore and placers, as well as the adamas; Also can have a better result in zinc oxide ore.

3.2 Type

Sawtooth wave jig is divided into left and right type according to the location of water supply pipe's flange. Stand at the end of the tank looking at the discharge, if the supply water pipe flanges on the left is left type, otherwise is the right type.

5. Equipment installation

Jig must be installed in horizontal level and ensure the slope of the screen within design range.

6 Adjustments

6.1 Stroke Adjustment

Sawtooth jig can be equipped with M12, M17 two specifications CAM, if no special instructions, the equipment will be installed with M17 CAM. JT3-1 can be installed M15 M20 M25 three specifications CAM, if no special instructions; will only come with M20 CAM.

If need to adjust the stroke or change CAM, it must first stop the equipment, adjust the sequence as follows:

(1) Discharge the lubricating oil in the CAM box;

(2) Open CAM box's back cover plate;

(3) Loose the spring group supporting the cone bucket, make the roller in CAM box and CAM the distance 5~20mm;

(4) Use special wrench unscrews the Cam's nuts;

(5) Remove CAM, replace or according to the reference Figure 6 (The curves of the CAM adjustment Angle and stroke) adjust CAM and the drive shaft's angle to change the stroke of equipment.

After finish the adjustment of stroke, the Jig should be reinstalled according to the above procedure.

6.2 Frequency adjustment

The equipment's frequency changing is realized through change of the motor speed, the frequency and the motor speed ratio is 1:6 , it can change the motor speed by adjusting the electromagnetic control device , and according to the requirement to adjust the frequency.

6.3 Spring adjustment

The equipment's spring set is to reset the cone bucket up, the spring adjustment must be in stop condition. Ensure the spring compression of each spring to the basic same (measurement the compression spring length) and make idler wheel in the CAM box and CAM rollers in good contact condition, which means no impulsive sound after the operation. However if the spring is too tight, the friction between the idler wheel and the CAM rollers will increase, which will aggravate the equipment's load and speed up components wear down.

7. Operation

7.1 Precautions before the operation

Before operation, please read the instruction and master the scope of equipment and its operation method.

The power supply of the motor is three-phase AC 380 V; the electromagnetic motor control devices' power is 220 V. Before turn on the power, one  should check whether the power supply voltage is in accordance with the provisions, the filling water pressure meets the requirements, and the drive shaft's rotation is flexible, no clamping stagnation (rotate when the spring set is loosening).

7.2 Operating requirements

Different specifications of the screen cloth can be provided; if no special requirement from the user, the equipment will only be equipped with 6 mm x 6 mm screen cloth. When the equipment is used to separate less than 5 mm materials, it must lay the artificial bed on the screen. The density, particle size, shapes and thickness of artificial beds has a significant effect on the speed and quality of the discharged ore. Therefore, the selection of artificial stone bed should follow:

(1) The particle size of artificial bed stone should be as 2-6times as the largest size of the feed ore, and 1.2-2 times as the screen mesh, and the specific gravity is close to or slightly smaller than heavy mineral. Such bed stone can always stay at the bottom of the layer, and have the appropriate space allows heavy mineral's fine particles through. Usually chooses magnetite etc which can meet requirements as artificial bed stone layer.

(2) The thickness of artificial stone bed will influence the quality and yield rate of the concentrate. When processes the easy dressing ore or to get higher concentrate yield rate, the artificial bed layer should be more thin; otherwise the artificial bed layer should be more thick. Artificial beds are usually in thickness 30mm-100mm.

(3) Should adjust the artificial stone bed's the particle size, layer thickness, during the ore processing in order to get the best concentration result.

7.3 Operation instructions

When the e>quipment is in accordance with 7.1, 7.2 requirements start the operation. The operation sequence as follows:

(1) Turn on water supply valve, when the jig room filled with water; regulate the water supply quantity to meet the ore dressing requirements.

(2) Turn the electromagnetic valve motor control device to minimum (counterclockwise), then start motor.

(3) When the motor's speed is stable, slowly turn the electromagnetic motor control device's knob (i.e. regulating frequency).

(4) After the normal operation of the equipment,feed the ore evenly.

According to the ore property, adjust the equipment's stroke, frequency,

water supplies, make it to achieve the best ore dressing result.

When stop the equipment, it must first stop the ore feed, then minimize the stroke, finally to turn off the main motor's power supply.

8. Lubrication	

The CAM box uses 30 # machine oil for lubrication, the volume of oil had better be when the driving gear immerge into the lubrication oil 30-50mm, if new equipment, should change the lubrication oil half a month and clean the tank. Each quarter clean the tank and change lubrication oil, ball bearings parts need to use ZNG69-2 ball bearing grease for lubrication, change the grease every half year.
